  • Trails End Restaurant sits all the way in the back of the Fort Wilderness Resort. Parking for the restaurant is all the way at the front of the resort. Even though the parking is all the way up front, there is plenty of handicap parking spaces. In order to get back to the restaurant, you have to take the resorts internal bus. The buses have ramps that come out and make it very easy for wheelchairs to roll right on in and then they have seat belt to keep you strapped in. Once at the entrance of the restaurant, you have to ask and make sure that you are placed on the upper level so that you do not have to use the 5 steps that are inside to go up and get your food since there are two levels to the restaurant. In order to get up to the second level there is a ramp to go up. There are no restrooms in the the restaurant, you have to go back outside and then down to the end of the building. The restrooms are a nice size and the handicap stall is big enough for one wheelchair and they are able to make a 360 degree turn. Depending on the situation, it could take a while to leave and use the restroom making the restrooms at this restaurant very inconvenient. The bar is only 8 bar stools and it is only a high top bar. There is a window outside that you can go up to and order a drink and you can also order a drink with your serving once you are seated at your table. The buffet area is wide enough for a wheelchair to navigate.
