Famous Argentinian steakhouse in San Telmo district of Buenos Aires

Wheelchair Accessibility Comments

• This well known Buenos Aires steakhouse located in the San Telmo district is both charming and reasonably wheelchair accessible.
• It’s a large restaurant with several dining rooms and a large accessible bar area.
• It’s an elegant setting with white tables clothes with sports memorabilia everywhere. Sort of an expensive, first class sports bar.
• Seating is generally a tight squeeze but several tables are available and reasonably easy to navigate.
• There’s a flight of steps to the upstairs which is not accessible.
• There is a wheelchair accessible restroom off the main dining floor.
• There’s a small step at the entrance but it’s reasonably easy.
• There’s also a side entrance with 1 step, which I used, but they expertly put out a temporary ramp within seconds.
• The San Telmo area is a must visit district but there are heavy cobblestones thoughout all of San Telmo and in front of La Brigada.
• The staff, service and food are all terrific; very few of the staff spoke English.
• The menu meat selections are geared to locals but the servers will help you select the best options.
• The wine list is fabulous and the Argentinian wines are awesome.
• Arrive before 8pm and you get your selection of tables even without a reservation.
• We loved La Brigada!
