Restaurant Overview

Knightro’s is a dining hall for college students, with a variety of different food stations, including pizza, grill, salad bar, dessert bar, saute station, and fountain drinks. Food options change over between different meal periods throughout the day, and each meal period has a different price. Most food stations are either self-serve, or served directly by a worker. Prices run $7.50 for breakfast, $9 for lunch, and $9.50 for dinner.

• After visiting Knightro’s dining hall, I believe it would not be the best place to visit for someone in a wheelchair. When you first enter the facility, you have to pay and the cashier is located at a standing level. Also since it is a dining hall, most food stations are self-serve, and accessible at a standing level. Employees have said that they have helped guests in wheelchairs before by serving the food themselves and walking the food to tables, but I still don’t think this would be ideal. The restroom was very accessible with a large stall and grab handle. Parking was another issue, there are a few parking spots located outside the restaurant, but most guests park in a parking garage about 200 yards behind the restaurant, with an elevator. Overall I don’t think Knightro’s Dining Hall would provide the best service for a guest in a wheelchair, but it would certainly be possible.
