UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management: Student Accessibility Comments:

Floridays Resort Orlando is ADA compliant offering both full ADA rooms with roll-in showers and partial ADA rooms with bath tubs. The bathroom provides plenty of space for wheelchair accessibility in the full ADA room, however the shower does not contain a build in bench as the hotel provides a removable shower chair. One specification about Floridays Resort’s ADA rooms is that they are only available as 3 bedroom units, not in their 2 bedroom units. If a traveler books a 2 bedroom unit and requests for an ADA room online, depending on the hotel’s occupancy, they do provide complimentary upgrades to ensure comfortability for the guest. However, since the hotel does not sell their rooms by any specifications other than size (2 or 3 bedrooms), if you don’t call ahead to confirm the availability of an ADA room, you risk not having the correct modifications present in your room as their ADA rooms could all be occupied, especially during high season. The hotel does not have a pool lift, however at the main pool area is a zero-entry option for wading into the pool. Access to the pool deck is also available via a ramp, but the lever to open the gate may be difficult for wheelchair travelers to access independently. Of the 3 entrances to the hotel lobby, 2 of the entries are operated by automatic doors and the side entrance is a traditional door. All buildings on property have ground-level access and 2 elevators each to provide assistance to higher levels.
