UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management: Student Accessibility Comments

Overall a really nice wheelchair friendly hotel. The layout of the hotel and its amenities are wheelchair accessible. The hotel does not include a full service restaurant like other hotels, but rather have times for when breakfast, dinner and drinks at their mini bar will be available to guests. Breakfast, dinner, and alcohol (3 drinks per guest a night) are free for guests staying at the hotel.  The pool area does have an ADA lift for guests in wheelchairs so that they may enjoy the pool as well. Bath chairs are available upon request and there are lower locks and peepholes in ADA accessible rooms.

The hotel covers all the standards in accordance with the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design by allowing all entrances and hotel facilities such as the lobby, dining room and pool area accessible for guests traveling in wheelchairs or individuals who have problems with stairs. The staff was friendly and both the guest room and bathroom is spacious. One thing I would like to note however is that the bar will prove to be difficult for guests in the wheelchair as it reaches about 4 ft in height. Aside from that, all of the amenities are fantastic to guests who are new to the Drury brand. Free hot breakfast and dinner with 3 free drinks included, the business and fitness center are accessible as well, and the pool area comes with an ADA lift for wheelchair guests to enjoy a dip in the pool.
