UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management: Student Accessibility Comments

Chili’s is located in the UCF Student Union and was reasonably easy to navigate in a wheelchair. The entrance doors are widely propped open and there are no steps to enter, meaning for a level ground. The tables are spread out which means for easy movement around the restaurant. The bar was more of a high top length so you could sit in the bar at a table more easily than the actual bar itself. The nearest bathroom was outside the entrance of the restaurant and in the union lobby to the left of the restaurant if you are facing the doors. There was no step or ramp to enter, just level ground. The bathroom had a wide amount of space to move throughout, and the stall had room to rotate the wheelchair 360 degrees. There were also grab bars in the stall. The restaurant as well as the restroom very both reasonably clean, with nearly spotless floors.

This restaurant had an easy and spacious entrance with no steps and the doors were propped open. The space between the tables was very sufficient and made it easy to move about the restaurant. The tables were an ideal height and I felt I had plenty of room and was not compressed against the table next to me. The bathroom is easy to enter, with a wide clearance to navigate, and bars in the stall to grasp. Further, there was room to rotate 360 degrees without a problem. The bathroom was reasonably clean and the restaurant was well kept as well, the floor was nearly spotless! Parking can be difficult as there are surrounding garages but they are not extremely close to the restaurant.
