UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management: Student Accessibility Comments

Bonchon was created to satisfy a craving. A craving for nostalgia and familiarity. A craving for the indulgent taste of authentic, flavorful, crunchy, Korean fried chicken accompanied with a variety of unique pan Asian comfort foods.

  • Nice casual restaurant with a middle-higher price point for food and drink.
  • The ADA requires 30 inches of clearance on either side of an aisle for wheelchair access. The restaurants has a wide aisles, it makes it more comfortable for others with mobility disabilities such as those using walkers and canes.

  • Restroom has an additional privacy and space. Give them a pleasant experience by providing enough space to navigate comfortably with room for wheelchairs and other mobility devices.

  • It does not have handicap parking spaces, however it does have a parallel parking right in front of the building.
  • Flat surface from parking to the restaurant, no ramps in between.
  • High top for the bar seats. Mixed of booth, low and high top chairs in the dining area.
  • The service is always fairly decent to very good, with the food always being delicious.

I ate the best fried chicken I’ve ever tasted at a small but rapidly-expanding fried chicken chain from South Korea: Bonchon Chicken. The restaurant’s interior was sleek and casual. It was heavy on the wood and had a vaguely bar-like feel. The space was dark and fairly sparse. There were no decorations at any of the tables, and lighting was industrial. Although the place didn’t otherwise have much of a sports bar feel. You can choose two different flavors if you like, so I chose spicy and soy garlic, my mouth was very, very happy in the end. Our server was friendly, he kept checking on us. They made a mistake with my fried rice order because I am allergic to bell peppers and they fixed my meal immediately. My overall experience was great, i would recommend this place to all the people I know.
