UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management: Student Accessibility Comments

Ale & Compass Restaurant was very accessible and the only area there were stairs were walking up to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort but there was a ramp that was not steep at all for disabled Guests. The entrance to the restaurant is very accessible along with the main dining area. The bar area however was not very accessible and both entrances were tight and even in the bar area it was a little tight and there was an even amount of tables to high tops. For the bathroom it was very tight to enter and so were the stalls, although they did have handrails for Guests with disabilities.

The food at Ale & Compass Restaurant was fantastic and also offers some twists on simple and classic food. A unique item I would recommend is the Parker House Rolls and Spreads. With the dish, you get five parkerhouse rolls and three unique dips to try, the pub cheese was my favorite! Another awesome appetizer was the Roasted ‘Buffalo-style’ Cauliflower, it tasted just like chicken wings! It is perfect for someone who does not eat meat or is a vegan! The Cast Members were also very friendly and offered personal recommendations on the menu along with being able to describe each dish perfectly. The dining room is also very accessible and if you are visiting with a Guest who has a wheel chair, you will find the dining room very spacious. Along with this, you are able to valet your car at the Resort and a Guest with a wheel chair does not have to worry about any steps to get to the restaurant.
