The Waldorf Astoria is a perfect hotel for people who need accessibility when traveling, not to mention its a great hotel on top of all that. The first time you pull up to the Waldorf Astoria front entrance, you see the easy and smooth front drive way followed up by three massive sets of double doors that are very wide and tall. Not to mention, each door has a wheelchair button to open electronically without any assistance. As you go into the lobby its very open and flat, and easy to move around if you are in a wheelchair or motorized-chair. Elevators are down the long hall and there are 6 elevators that are easy to get in and out. In the accessible rooms you have plenty of space to move around and the bathroom is open and user friendly.
One thing I would suggest is that the countertops are too high at check in, and for someone who is checking in with a motorized chair or wheel chair, the guest service agent has to walk around the guest to help with exchange of credit card, I.D, and even presenting much needed information about the hotel.
