UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management: Student Accessibility Comments

  • This property is very large and the resort is fully wheelchair accessible including rooms with lowered beds, roll-in showers, and pools with ADA lifts.
  • There are a total of 16 roll-in showers: 6 with king beds in the Lakes areas; 8 Preferred rooms which are closest to the lobby and 2 with water views but are furthest from the lobby. Some have lowered beds.
  • Certain rooms are connected when you’re traveling in groups with separate rooms.
  • Property has button to press to automatically open doors.

UCF ROSEN COLLEGE STUDENT TRAVEL TIPS: Coronado Springs is approximately 30 minutes from Orlando International airport, 20 minutes from attractions around International Drive, and less than 15 minutes away from Disney parks such as Magic Kingdom. The hotel is brightly colored with a unique Spanish Colonial Mexican theme.

The main pool, Dig Site pool, is recognized by the giant Mayan temple with water cascading down each step. The hotel offers unique dining at places like the Pepper Market Cafe, Cafe Rix, and Maya Grill. Coronado Springs offers a variety of amenities and entertainment such as shuttles, in-room celebrations, concierge desk offering discounted tickets, a gym, and souvenir shop, and is also a convention center. There are many activities everyone can enjoy such as a playground and arcade, jogging trail and volleyball, movies under the stars and campfire activities.

ESPN’s Sports Complex nearby hosts Invictus Games in which paralympic athletes participate and Coronado Springs accommodates guests during their stay at this resort. The resort is fully wheelchair accessible including rooms with lowered beds, roll-in showers, and pools with ADA lifts. Doors even can be bolted when traveling in big groups with separate rooms. Shuttles accommodate the handicap to and from theme parks and airport.
