Wheelchair Jimmy Accessibility Comments

We stopped here for dinner with friends in October 2018 during our fall foliage trip through New England. This quaint colonial 1790 inn and tavern serves hearty New England & Continental dishes & classic cocktails. From the moment you arrive, it feels as if you have stepped backwards into 18th Century New England.

After many iterations, Ye Old Tavern is a now a fun, historic dinner restaurant with great food and service. The restaurant has multiple small dining rooms with 6-8 tables each and all are set in a charming colonial tavern type setting. There tables are reasonably spacious with many accessible tables.

WARNING: There’s a short ramp to enter, then a hard right turn and 1 large step up. The restroom was accessible for most manual wheelchairs but a power chair will probably not be able to maneuver. There was one handicapped parking space in a hard gravel parking lot.

I’ve given Ye Old Tavern a WJAR 2 due to the tight entry step and tight restrooms, however, I loved the restaurant. Whenever I return to beautiful Manchester Village, I’m coming here for dinner! Wonderful memory
