Wheelchair Accessibility Comments

  • One of Manhattan’s finest luxury boutique hotels located at Central Park with 50 total guestrooms and reasonably wheelchair accessible.
  • Entrance is step free and all common areas except the lobby restroom are step free.
  • The hotel has only 2 wheelchair accessible guestrooms (both king beds), and both rooms have tub showers. Temporary shower chairs are available. No roll-in showers or attached pull-down bench seats.
  • The beautiful Harry Cipriani Italian restaurant adjoins the hotel lobby and is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • WARNING: To access the hotel’s lobby restroom and the Harry Cipriani restroom, you’ll need to take a dreaded small hydraulic WC lift downstairs, but the restroom is quite large and accessible. Importantly, the small WC hydraulic lift can be operated independently without the need for 3rd party assistance.
  • Valet park only.
  • JIM’S NOTE: It’s a pleasure to visit this beautiful historic luxury hotel but it’s very expensive.
