Wheelchair Accessibility Comments

  • Very nice historic boutique hotel and very wheelchair friendly, and as of October 2018 it was undergoing a renovation.
  • The Auditorium Hotel was built in 1926, and in 1983 the Auditorium Hotel was renamed as the Lancaster Hotel, Houston’s first boutique hotel. In 1984, it was recorded as a Texas Historical Landmark and more recently, as the only qualifying hotel in Houston, became a member of the Historic Hotels of America.
  • I love these old historic hotels and it’s great when they’re accessible.
  • The Lancaster has 93 total rooms, 4 wheelchair accessible rooms and 1 roll-in shower with an attached pull down bench seat.
  • There are no steps at the entrance and no restrictive steps in the hotel.
  • The Bistro restaurant is full service and wheelchair accessible.
  • Valet only parking. No pool and no shuttle to the airport.
