Wheelchair Accessibility Comments

  • WARNING: The James Nomad is a beautiful luxury boutique hotel with some fabulous amenities but it’s not very wheelchair friendly.
  • WARNING: There are 4-5 steps at the entrance so the hotel provides a dreaded small hydraulic WC lift for lobby access. Oh how I dread these WC lifts! What a pain!
  • This historic hotel has 337 total rooms and 11 wheelchair accessible rooms. All 11 wheelchair accessible guestrooms have roll-in showers. No tub showers.
  • WARNING: Although the Penthouse suite is very large and accessible, the standard wheelchair accessible guestrooms are not very spacious at 150-200 sq. ft. Of the 11 roll-in showers, 8 have a 1/2 inch lip into the shower. The remaining 3 roll-in showers have no shower lip and attached pull-down bench seats.
  • The hotel has a very nice and accessible Scarpetta Italian restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks and is located off the main lobby.
  • The very nice Seville cocktail lounge is located on the cellar level and is accessible via commercial elevator.
  • The public accessible restroom is also located on the cellar level and accessible via elevaor.
  • Valet parking only.
