Wheelchair Accessibility Comments

  • Very stylish boutique hotel and very wheelchair accessible.
  • I did not have an opportunity to visit The Independent Hotel, but from my interview the front desk states all 24 guestroom in the hotel are wheelchair accessible and there are 2 roll-in showers.
  • All other rooms have standup showers, not tubs.
  • There is a 1/4 inch lip at the front entrance which should be easy for all wheelchair travelers. Then take the elevator up to the lobby.
  • The hotel offers 2 nice accessible restaurants on the lobby level, Little Nonna’s and Bud & Marilyn’s.
  • No pool.
  • No valet parking. There are 2 self park lots across the street.
  • The hotel seems to have done a wonderful job in making this stylish boutique hotel very wheelchair friendly.
  • I didn’t visit but next time I’ll attempt to stay here. I love these old historical hotels.
