Wheelchair Accessibility Comments

  • Nice hotel and marginally wheelchair accessible but really inconvenient.
  • WARNING: There are 10 steps at the entrance so you’ll need to use the 31st Street entrance. However you’ll need a key card to enter, requiring you to first visit the main entrance on 7th Avenue and ask for assistance. Once you’re checked in, you enter the hotel from 31st Street, then you’ll take the lobby elevator up to the check-in desk.
  • For this large hotel with 600 rooms, there are only 5 wheelchair accessible rooms, 2 with roll-in showers. Temporary shower chairs are available. No attached pull-down bench seats. Some of the accessible guestrooms are 2 double bed suites. No king beds.
  • WARNING: The Niles restaurant entrance has 3-4 steps and is not wheelchair accessible. (Alternatively you can call security and they will help you down the 3-4 steps).
  • The accessible lobby restroom is on the lower lobby level.
  • JIM’S NOTE: While the hotel is accessible, it’s inconvenient and I’d avoid it.
