Wheelchair Accessibility Comments

• WARNING: The three wheelchair accessible rooms are located on the 2nd or 3rd floors and the elevator is often out of service. This happened to me in 2017 and I had to be carried down 3 flights of steps in my wheelchair. I was told it’s a frequent occurence. Since the elevator didn’t work they placed us in their Executive Suite which was not designated accessible but I made it work. The bathroom was small but at least the door was about 24 inches wide. I’ll never stay here again!!
• That said, it’s the best located large hotel property on the ocean Promenade;
• Very nice oceanfront hotel albeit a bit dated, wonderfull ocean views and otherwise wheelchair friendly.
• One of the only Seaside hotels with a full service restaurant and bar; wheelchair accessible restroom off lobby.
• There are 6-7 steps at hotel entrance however there is a ramp for access.
• Wheelchair accessible rooms are non-ocean view with king beds.
• Beach Access: steps at end of hallway, so you must go back out front door (ramp) and take sidewalk around to the promenade and beach.
• Accessible pool; no ADA lift.
• It’s best to use designated handicapped parking spaces at entrance rather than garage which has a reasonably steep ramp.
• Spacious rooms are a little dark; carpets old.
• Bathrooms are fully accessible; roll-in shower has no seat (temporary seats are available).
• NOTE: The standard oceanfront guestrooms (not accessible) are fabulous with magificent waterfront views. The bathroom doors however are about 21 inches wide.
