Wheelchair Jimmy Comments
Located in Old Town Sacramento, the Rio City Cafe has a premier spot overlooking the river and is totally wheelchair accessible. Old Town is very level and the streets are cobblestone, but we carefully rolled a block from the Embassy Suites to the restaurant. We thoroughly enjoy the food, drinks, service and atmosphere along the river.
There is a step free entry into the restaurant and easy ramps between the various dining rooms. There is a large accessible restroom and accessible stall which was “OK” on cleanliness. Although we left our car at the hotel and walked/rolled to Old Town, I looked but couldn’t figure out where accessible parking might be in Old Town near the restaurant.
We Loved our night along the river! The Rio City Cafe gets a 4 on the WJAR index. We will definitely visit again when in Sacramento.

If you’re looking for a fun, accessible dining experience in Old Town Sacrament, the Rio City Cafe is the place to stop!. It’s a perfect location directly on the riverfront. Fun and festive atmosphere with excellent food, service and drinks! Most of the tables are easily accessible and there’s a large accessible restroom.
