Wheelchair Accessibility Comments

• Beautiful full service Marriott Renaissance hotel and very wheelchair accessible.
• The hotel offers panoramic views around the city.
• WARNING: The hotel is located at 6th and Madison: there is a steep hill if rolling north into downtown Seattle, and a VERY steep hill if rolling toward the waterfront.
• The hotel is beautiful, inviting and large with an accessible lobby/reception area. There are modern, design touches and decoration with plenty of larger and smaller/private spaces.
• The lobby is level and flows seamlessly into bar/restaurant area. All tables in the restaurant are accessible with the exception of a small semi-private dining area that has 2 steps up.
• There’s a total of 30 wheelchair accessible rooms and 8 roll-in showers. All the roll-in shower rooms have connecting rooms, if needed.
• The ADA rooms are very attractive with good overall design and the usual Renaissance/Marriott attention to detail and beautiful views of the city.
• Bed height is 28 inches and the bed mattresses are on box springs.
• If/when needed, the hotel will remove the bed and put in a roll-away (or a delivered rental medical bed) to accommodate a Hoyer lift.
• Bathrooms are quite nice, spacious and very accessible. The roll-in showers have well designed attached pull down bench seats which have an adjustable height bench (very cool). The shower controls are easily reachable and the seats have a comfortable heavy padding.
• The hotel is very nice and accessible but the location is not very good for those in wheelchairs looking to roll around Seattle.
• Personally, I love the hotel but wouldn’t stay here due to the steep hills in all directions.
