Great midtown location in a very level area and totally wheelchair accessible. This is one of the premier hotels in midtown and is easy walking (rolling) distance to many of the city’s attractions like Times Square, Rockefeller Center and Broadway. The hotel has hosted every US president since JFK. The hotel lobby is huge and welcoming to all. The entrance and all public areas are step free. The restaurant, lounge and restroom on the main lobby level are all accessible.
Although the hotel offers accessible roll-in showers, we booked an accessible room with a tub shower. Our guest room was modern, well appointed and reasonably spacious. The bathroom was reasonably spacious as well. Bed height in room 616 was about 26 inches. Wonderfully comfortable bed. The closet had lower racks for accessibility and there was a button to close the curtains.
We took a taxi to the hotel so I didn’t check out the parking. We had a fabulous dinner at Remi which is located next door to the Hilton. Check it out. It was wonderful and fully wheelchair accessible. We really had an excellent stay and highly recommend the NY Hilton Midtown.
