Is the Hollywood Bowl Handicap Accessible?

Discover Hollywood Bowl wheelchair accessible attractions, things to do, tours and activities for disabled travelers. Read our informative review to learn if the Hollywood Bowl is wheelchair accessible and wheelchair friendly or if Wheelchair Jimmy recommends this attraction be avoided by travelers in wheelchairs.

The Hollywood Bowl is a friendly sociable place where Southern Californians gather to picnic and enjoy outstanding music under the stars. Throughout the summer the LA Phil presents the best in jazz, classical, Broadway, and world music, featuring artists that range from Sarah Chang to Diana Krall, John Williams to Pet Shop Boys, and Nancy Wilson to Arcade Fire.

A minimum of 196 wheelchair, semi-ambulatory, and companion tickets are available throughout the Hollywood Bowl.

The restroom facility adjacent to the Odin Street Parking Lot path is accessible, as is the restroom adjacent to the West Gate entrance. The restrooms off the 3rd Promenade are now accessible as well. There are also accessible restrooms located in the Museum and off the Patio Restaurant.

Jim’s Accessibility Comments:

The Bowl is large and wheelchair accessibility can be challenging. But every attempt has been made for the Bowl to be accessible and I have enjoyed the Hollywood Bowl on multiple occasions. Be prepared for some steep grades in certain areas and buying accessible tickets well in advance is important.
