Pointe 18 Bar and Grill at Golden Bear Club is a beautiful golf course with the restaurant sitting at the 18thhole. The restaurant is located within the club house and has two ADA van accessible parking spaces. The doorways are very wide and there are no steps to enter. There are no major slopes near the entrance of the restaurant. The restaurant has three dining areas: the grill, the patio, and the Nicklaus Dining Room. The most popular sitting area is the grill in which all tables in the establishment are ADA accessible except the bar, which is a high top with bar stools/chairs. The ADA restroom has plenty of space to turn and includes holding bars. The food is American cuisine and is very tasty. The service was excellent, but the food takes a while to come out. The tables in the grill seating are low enough to be comfortable but has a tight clearance. The clearance within the Nicklaus Dining room and patio is great with lots of space to move around. The atmosphere in the grill is more for sports and golf crowds but is very classy with dark wood and green accents. The Nicklaus dining room is more formal and has a large lit wine cooler. The patio seating is very casual and has screens to prevent bugs.

The service at the restaurant was great. Came in around 4pm which was a slow time. There were two servers and we were able to sit at any table. We sat in the grill with comfortable space for my wheelchair. The servers greeted us promptly and asked what beverages we wanted (two waters). We order the 12oz. Ribeye with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach and my friend had the shrimp scampi with fettuccine pasta. Both entrees came with a house or Caesar salad, we both got the caesar. The salads came out very quickly and within 30 minutes we finally received our entrees. The food took a while but our server apologize and said the kitchen was backed up due to an event they were catering in another room. But since the food was tasty and the service was wonderful, we didn’t mind. They gave us a chocolate lava cake on the house due to our wait. Our server Becca constantly refilled our waters and was very polite. After arriving at 4pm, it began to get busy around 5pm. Looking around the property, it was very easy to get around with my wheelchair, but the clearance within the grill room between tables was a little tight. I sat a table in the corner near the entrance, so I had no difficulty getting to my table.
