Purdue University Fort Wayne Student Travel Tips: This specific Extended Stay America is wheelchair friendly. Extended Stay America has two accessible parking spaces on each side of the building, which will leave a short distance between the sidewalk and the main entrance. The service counter height is 32 inches high, and 7 feet wide, making it easily accessible.

The buffet line bar, as well as the seating tables, are accessible, the buffet line is lowered, tables are wide and low enough to have plenty of space at any seat, because all tables and seats can be adjusted. Public restrooms provide a lot of space, being 10 feet x 5 feet, they provide all of the necessary features such as opening larger than 32 inches, grab bars, and toilet paper being 23 inches from the ground.

There are two sets of door holes on every guest room door, one that is higher and one lower. In the room, the stovetop is lowered, with appropriate knee space below. Lastly, the bathroom in the room has a removable seat, and grab bars for both the shower and the toilet. I booked an accessible room, but did not have one with a roll-in shower. Those were booked already.
