Wheelchair Accessibility Comments

  • WARNING: As usual with DoubleTree, the hotel is a very nice comfortable hotel but I cannot recommend this DoubleTree.
  • This midtown hotel is quite large with 764 total rooms including 35 wheelchair accessible guestrooms.  There are accessible king rooms, queen rooms and doubles, including 8 roll-in showers. Temporary shower chairs are available. No attached pull-down bench seats.
  • WARNING: The entrance is step free and however there are 4-5 steps down to the lower level where the breakfast restaurant Met Grill, the lobby accessible restroom and the business center are located. WARNING: To access these lower level areas you must call security and take a dreaded small hydraulic WC lift.
  • The Met Bar is on the main lobby level and is accessible.  Alternatively, there are various restaurants nearby.
  • Valet parking is available and self parking is available around the corner.
  • NOTE: I generally enjoy DoubleTree hotels but not this one. When they install a dreaded small hydraulic WC lift, I just can’t recommend the hotel!
