Wheelchair Jimmy Accessibility Comments:
We stayed here as a start to our 2018 New England fall foliage trip and was a bit disappointed. I’m a Marriott Rewards member and normally a big fan of Marriott, but the accessible guest room was really small and the hotel was way overpriced at $312. There’s a large attractive lobby with the adjoining full service restaurant. The entrance is step free and all common areas are step free.
The hotel has a total of 32 wheelchair accessible rooms, 16 with roll-in showers. Wheelchair access was on one side of the bed only and bed height was really high at 30 inches (barely accessible for me). That said, the bathroom was very, very spacious with extra counter space and very accessible. We had a tub shower but there was no bench seat. I was told the roll-in shower bathrooms have a bit less space.
We ate dinner in the hotel’s Brinkley restaurant after our long plane flight to Boston. The restaurant is large, accessible and very nice, but the service was dreadful and the food so-so.
The hotel offers a free wheelchair accessible shuttle from the airport which we took. Just call the hotel when you’re at the baggage claim. The hotel has self parking, no valet.
The Courtyard by Marriott Boston Logan Airport is wheelchair accessible and receives a WJAR 3 rating but the bed is too high and I won’t stay here again.
