UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management: Student Accessibility Comments

• Many visitors to the Orlando area like to take a day trip to the Florida west coast. Dunedin Florida is a charming seaside town just north of Clearwater. There is a charming downtown area of approximately 10 blocks of shops and restaurants all with varying degrees of accessibility.  Casa Tina is a local favorite of authentic Mexican food served in a bright, colorful room often with live entertainment. Highly recommended Casa Tina’s for a great meal, served by friendly staff. Accessibility can be tricky for a wheelchair.  The entrance, while no stairs are there, the sidewalk does have a slight downgrade towards the street. The restaurant does have spacing around the outside perimeter of the tables but they are quite close otherwise. There did appear to be easier accessible seating near the windows but these tables were few. The ladies room did provide a large accessible stall but entering the restroom and stall would require a decent amount maneuvering I would think. I would give Casa Tina a 3 in accessibility, I believe if dining during a slower period accessibility would be easier as the restaurant would be difficult to maneuver with a crowd.
