Wheelchair Jimmy Comments
Located in Kapalua on the Ritz Carleton Resort property on Maui, the Banyan Tree Restaurant is elegant, casual and a bit on the pricey side. We’ve been here a few times to enjoy the spectacular location and wonderful food, and it’s reasonably wheelchair accessible. Parking is the biggest issue but we’ve found a small park off Office Road near the resort that always has open parking spaces. Then it’s about a 100 yard step free roll along a beautiful concrete pathway that winds over the golf course and Ritz Carlton resort directly to the restaurant. If you park at the resort, it’s a circuitous route requiring 2 elevators and a long hallway. I strongly recommend the free small lot in the nearby park.
The restaurant is open air, spacious and the broad menu and food preparations are absolutely wonderful. There’s also a large wheelchair accessible restroom.
On the WJAR rating index, the Banyan Tree Restaurant get a 4. We always enjoy the magnificent setting although finding the small parking lot and getting to the restaurant is always interesting. Thanks you Google Maps.
