Visiting the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum

Purdue University Fort Wayne Student Travel Tips:

There are many handicap spots conveniently close to the entrance, and they have both van accessible spots and regular spots. There are no steps or steepness to get the doors. The main entrance has automatic doors for easier access.

Throughout the event center walkways are spacious and they have elevators that are accessible and have grab bars. The ticket booth has a counter that is wheelchair accessible. The restrooms throughout the event center have accessible spacious stalls and they have grab bars too. They also have an accessible sink; but paper towels just may be a little hard to reach. Water fountain is the appropriate height for wheelchair accessibility. Entrance to the restrooms has no doors and are very wide.

They have accessible seating in the stadium and can fit many wheelchairs in rows. Ramps are there to get to seating, there are no stairs. Concessions have areas that are at an accessible level, and tables to sit and eat at are also accessible. ATMs are shorter to accommodate the height of wheelchairs. Doorframes are also the appropriate width and can be propped open for convenience.
