We stopped at the Woodstock Inn for a couple night during our October 2018 fall foliage tour in New England. Located in the charming town of Woodstock, Vermont, the Woodstock Inn is one of the finest and most accessible I’ve ever stayed. Without question one of my Favorite hotels worldwide. The hotel drips with charm and ambience. The Woodstock Inn is listed in our book of 1.000 Places to See Before You Die so, while very expensive, we wanted to experience this first hand and we were not disappointed. There are a total of 142 rooms at the Woodstock Inn and 5 are wheelchair accessible.
There’s an easy ramp at the front entrance and virtually all common areas are step free. The hotel’s fine dining Red Roster restaurant and more casual Richardson’s Tavern are both on the main lobby level and are step free. The Red Rooster is spacious while tables at the tavern are a bit tight but fully accessible.
Our room was absolutely beautiful, spacious and very comfortable (See pictures). One of the nicest guest rooms I’ve ever stayed. Bed height was 27 inches. The bathroom too was spacious and totally wheelchair accessible. There is an attached pull-down bench seat in the roll-in shower and the shower controls are easily reachable.
On the WJAR index the Woodstock Inn get a 5!! We can’t wait to return one day!
