Great family accommodations
If you are used to smaller hotels, the Millennium might be a little daunting at first. Its grand entrance across from the UN, flags and all, its expansive lobby and extensive use of glass and reflective surfaces in its atrium might read more like a convention center than a hotel. But don’t be put off by that. The rooms are actually very cozy, very comfortable and inviting. There are no bad views, especially from the upper floors, either to the US and the East River or toward Midtown. What makes this hotel stand apart is the level of service. Having a personal contact with a director helps of course, but the entire staff is trained to address travelers’ mobility issues with courtesy and professionalism. This of course is largely due to the fact that the hotel caters to a demanding clientele of diplomats working or visiting the UN across the street.
