Nice B&B in Clonakilty Ireland
We only stayed one night but the B&B was clean, comfortable and there was 1 wheelchair accessible guest room on the lower level. Fun Irish town,
Our 2011 driving tour around Ireland included one night at the Macliam Lodge Guesthouse in Clonakilty which was reasonably wheelchair accessible. It was difficult finding an accessible property but this nice B&B worked well and the hostess Maeve was great, very friendly and easy to speak with. Our room was clean and comfortable.
I don’t fully remember all the hotel or bathroom details, although my recollection is that there is one nice accessible guest room on the lower level and the breakfast room is accessible as well. Many of the common guesthouse areas had steps but the guest room, bathroom and breakfast was accessible for my manual wheelchair. We had a very comfortable evening.
The lodge has no views to speak of but was well located along the main street about 5 minutes from the town center (See the road picture attached). We walked (rolled) along the very level street into town for dinner.
