Best Hotel in Clackamas
We’ve stayed here many times to visit family and it’s consistently very good. It’s always busy, mostly with traveling high school sports teams and parents, and always friendly.
Wheelchair Jimmy Accessibility Comments: The Courtyard by Marriott in Clackamus is perhaps the best hotel in Clackamus and it’s very wheelchair friendly. On our annual drive from Seattle to Phoenix we have stayed here often to see family. Clackamus is an Eastern suburb of Portland just off the I-205.
The hotel offers several wheelchair accessible rooms including some with roll-in showers. The rooms are very nice as is typical with Courtyards. Beds height is approximately 27 inches. The hotel offers it’s Bistro dining which includes limited breakfast and dinner items and a limited bar as well. The dining area is fully wheelchair accessible.
The front entrance and all common areas are step free. There’s a large self parking lot and multiple van accessible parking spaces near the front entrance. There is an accessible indoor pool. There are a couple nice nearby restaurants (one within rolling distance) but for me it’s easier to drive to them. The upscale Clackamus shopping mall is a short 1-2 minute drive.
NOTE: Be careful NOT to stay at the nearby Monarch Hotel and Conference Center which is a nightmare for wheelchair accessibility.
