Assaggio Ristorante was opened in 1993 by a self-taught chef, Mauro Golmarvi. In Italian, Assaggio means “taste” and the menu has been designed to give guests a taste of Italy’s culinary passion.

Exceptional Northern Italian dishes come with interesting twists at this delightful Downtowner known for generous portions at moderate prices; the dining room is painted with Italian murals a la Michelangelo and chef-owner Mauro makes friends with everyone, making for an overall superb experience.
