A Spectacular Resort

We visited this beautiful lakefront Coeur d’Alene Resort in August 2022 for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay. We had visited the resort many years ago and were looking forward to our visit. We were not disappointed. We stayed in a beautiful, spacious wheelchair accessible room #864 with a balcony, fireplace and sitting room. The large balcony was easy to access with no lip and the lake and marina view was fabulous.

The bedroom area was very accessible and bed height was a comfortable 29 inches. The bed was only accessible from one side (see picture). No Hoyer Lift option in our room. The toilet and shower were in large separate accessible area off the bedroom, and the sink was in large area accessible just outside the toilet / shower. The layout was very nicely configured.

When we drove in, they offered both valet or a self-parking garage with several van accessible spaces. There were convenient elevators from the parking garage back into the resort.

The resort had several restaurants and bars, including outdoor patio bars, all ramped and totally accessible. The resort offers a multitude of activities, including lake tours, some of which looked quite accessible. With its gorgeous lakefront location, it is a mecca for all things outdoor. There are plenty of adventures for all members of the family. The resort is located just a block off the main street in downtown Coeur d’Alene where we conveniently walked (rolled) and found many other dining options as well.

On the WJAR Index, the Coeur d’Alene Resort gets a 5. It’s one of the finest resorts in the Northwest. I can’t wait to return.
