Restaurant Overview

This is a casual style restaurant that is very popular here in my hometown, often busy and offering a variety of options for both breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The price is fairly low and the options consist of breads, pastries, soups, sandwiches, salads, and pastas. It has a relaxing atmosphere and is a great option for those who want to eat while studying/completing work, or spending time with family and friends. The hours range from 6:30 am-9:30 pm.

UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management: Student Accessibility Comments

  • This Panera overall seems to be pretty accessible, however, I wanted to bring up a few things that may be a bit of a hinderance. There is a step to enter the restaurant, however, on the left side of the building, there is a ramp next to the 3 accessible parking spaces (which is enough for this restaurant, as they were all available), but since the ramp is on the side of the building it does take a little longer for guests in wheelchairs to enter the venue. The ordering area is very spacious and allows for several guests, including those in wheelchairs to be comfortable and in the same location. What I am considering the “Bar area”, is the area of this Panera where guests approach a counter to pick up their food (Photo Included). This is the area that I consider to be the most challenging for guests in wheelchairs because of how tall it is. Those who are wheelchair bound will not be able to reach over the counter to pick their food up, so the employee will have to go around the counter and hand the guest their food that way. The dining area is spacious and there are many wheelchair accessible table options, and no stairs and steps on the interior. A few of the tables are a bit crammed together, but the booths, and the “half table, half booths” have large spaces for wheelchairs to fit. The bathroom only had two stalls, an accessible, and a non accessible. The restroom itself was far too small and would be very crammed with multiple people in there, however, the accessible stall alone was very very big and spacious, and included grab bars, making it comfortable to move around in easily. I enjoy the comfort food options and the service that this Panera offers, and I always find myself coming back here often whenever I am visiting my parents here in Valrico. Outdoor seating is very accessible as well.
