Jim’s Accessibility Comments:

Located just an 8-10 minute drive from historic downtown Savannah, the Georgia Railroad Museum is partially wheelchair accessible. The entrance is accessible via ramp and there are no restrictive steps within the museum. So part of the round house and back buildings including the tender frame shop, blacksmith shop  and machine shops are open and wheelchair accessible. However, there are steps onto the train, executive office Pullman car and handcar. So the train ride tour, walking tour of the luxury Pullman Car and handcar, the 3 really fun and interesting aspects to the museum, are not wheelchair accessible. The museum has a wheelchair accessible restroom. For those who cannot access these areas, the museum will waive the $10 admission.
