Wheelchair Accessibility Comments

  • WARNING: Very nice hotel but the number of wheelchair accessible guestrooms are limited.
  • The entrance has no steps and there is a long easy ramp to the elevator to avoid 3-4 steps.
  • The common areas are accessible via a ramp. There are 3 accessible guestrooms all with tub showers.
  • WARNING: They will not guarantee an accessible room or permit you to “block” the room to guarantee an accessible room.
  • The Rare Bar and Grill dinner restaurant is accessible and is open for breakfast and lunch as well.
  • The rooftop bar is also accessible.
  • There is an accessible restroom in the lobby.
  • JIM’S NOTE: I’ve given the hotel a WJAR 2 rating because they have only 3 accessible rooms and will not guarantee an accessible room. They’re sister hotel, The James Nomad at 22 East 29th Street, also received a WJAR 2 rating.
